FERRARI HILLCLIMB CHAMPIONSHIP
REPORT : ROUND 1 : PRESCOTT

The opening round of the 1998 Ferrari Hillclimb Championship series at Prescott was more like mud wrestling than speed hillclimbing. Persistent rain badly affected the course, which was extremely slippery most of the time due to the large quantities of mud brought onto the track from the quagmire in the paddock.

Taking the advantage of being the first to climb in the 14-car Ferrari class, JOHN MARSHALL (328 GTB) took his first ever overall win. Those who followed, in the final run of the day, were unfortunate to have to cope with ever increasing torrential rain.
